Filmmaker Jon Behrens (born 1964) died of diverticulitis
on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022. The Interbay Cinema Society and its Lightpress Grants are contributions to the filmmaking community that he imagined and created. He envisioned the Engauge Experimental Film Festival and founded the festival with filmmaker Caryn Cline. He was a prolific filmmaker, often creating several short films in a year.
If you want to offer a tribute to Jon, he would want you to go out and make an experimental film.
